ATTORNEY PROFILE

Hirad Dadgostar earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law where he studied in the law school's Corporate Law Curriculum Program (now known as the Business Law and Policy Program). While in law school, Dadgostar was a managing editor of UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs.

After law school and passing the California bar exam, Dadgostar served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert C. Broomfield, Senior United States District Judge for the District of Arizona. In his clerkship, Dadgostar researched and authored memoranda addressing a variety of issues in state and federal law, including civil rights, habeas corpus, environmental protection, disability law, and many facets of federal procedure.

Following his clerkship, Dadgostar joined the international law firm of Jones Day as a litigation associate in its Los Angeles office, where he represented defendants and plaintiffs in a wide variety of cases in state and federal court as well as before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. His practice was focused primarily on complex business and antitrust litigation as well as consumer class action litigation. Clients represented included businesses in the banking and credit reporting industries as well as media, Internet, and Fortune 500 companies.

Dadgostar Law LLP (originally founded as the Dadgostar Law LLP in December 2009) was established in September 2011. Dadgostar has substantial experience in matters involving contract disputes, credit reporting, and competition law. Dadgostar has experience in all stages of litigation, including case assessment, pleading, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and court hearings. Dadgostar has also maintained an active pro bono practice in association with public interest organizations such as the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice.

Prior to practicing law, Dadgostar received his B.A. with honors in Business-Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and became the director of operations for a developer of security software solutions. As an active member of UCLA's Young Alumni Chancellor's Circle, Dadgostar is proud to support future Bruins and UCLA's world-renowned academic programs.
